Passover and Easter commemorate the foundational events that lie at the heart of Judaism and Christianity, respectively. Passover, the Festival of Freedom, recounts how God, acting through Moses, freed the Hebrew people from bondage in Egypt and set them on their journey to the Promised Land. Easter commemorates the three days that began with the crucifixion of Jesus and culminated, not in his death, but his resurrection as the Christ. We can understand these holidays on the superficial level of the story itself, or we can go deeper, seeing them as parables of the spiritual journey—hidden maps that guide us away from the ego’s fearful world and back toward the all-encompassing, all-loving embrace of God.

Join us for a powerful and lively discussion of the deeper meaning of these sister holidays.
