A Chat in the Garden with Monique A. J. Smith

Jen Morgan has always had a love for sports, playing volleyball, basketball and softball in her youth, a future without sports seemed impossible. After completing her bachelor's degree in sport management at SUNY Canton, Jen ventured across the country to pursue her masters degree in sport management at the University of San Francisco. During her time at USF, Jenifer gained industry experience as a Junior Giants AmeriCorps Associate, assistant volleyball coach at Urban High School, operations assistant at the Academy of Thought and Industry, and an Activities Coordinator at Education First International Language School. All of these opportunities gave her the experience and confidence to land a position with Cal Athletics as a Director of Olympic Sports Operations. A year and a half into the position, Jenifer continues to grow and learn within the Cal Family.

Jenifer has volunteered her time as a Black Student Athlete Community co Mentor along with Dr. Ty Douglas and serves as a DEIBJ Accelerator.
