The Summer Paralympics in Paris have come to an end. Let’s celebrate the rich cuisine of Paris with a special type of cheese called brie. Brie is a soft cow's-milk cheese named after Brie, the French region from which it originated. Brie typically contains between 60% and 75% butterfat, which is the fatty portion of milk. Its health benefits include being high in protein, fat, calcium, iodine, vitamins A, B12 & riboflavin. In addition, it contains probiotics which support gut health. CLA which is a healthy fat that prevents obesity & heart disease. The cheese is low in carbohydrates and keto-friendly. Brie is normally served with crusty bread and/or crackers, and it can also be paired with a variety of fruits, nuts, or honey. So, let’s celebrate the experience of the 2024 Paralympics in Paris by indulging in a tasty type of cheese known as brie.
