This episode of Pneumatikos will explore the witness pool that saw Jesus alive after the crucifixion. Evidence for an event required at least two witnesses in the legal system of that time. According to the painstaking research conducted by the writer of the Gospel of Mark, the physician-theologian Luke, the brilliant legal scholar-theologian Paul, and other New Testament writers Jesus was subjected to rigorous empirical investigation during his post-resurrection appearances. Over five hundred witnesses saw Jesus outside of his closest followers, and during Paul's ministry many of them were still alive with the buring memory of the resurrected Jesus.
