Rarely do I read books that speak of the new mentality of the believer. What I do read, however, are tiresome books on the history of western psychology and various theories thereunto, and how the biblical counselor must come to terms with a formula that is biblically aware. It is interesting that Paul, Peter, John and the other contributors to the New Testament Canon never wrote about psychology. They, on the other hand, wrote about a new life in Christ that transcended all of the catagories of humanistic thinking. This love affair with cosmic thinking has got to end. This type of synthetic thinking has got the visible church into all types of spiritual nonsense.
