King Saul was charged by God to utterly destroy Agag and his kingdom. King Saul failed to complete the will of God. He did what was right in his own eyes. King Saul's failure grieved the heart of God. God therefore took the kingdom away from Saul. When Saul returned from his incomplete mission he was confronted by Samuel. Samuel wanted to know why Saul did not complete the will of God. Saul told Samuel that he did do the will of God. This is the viewpoint of the flesh-life. It believes that God should be please with its perception.
