Things are very real these days. People are standing up for causes that are both sane and strange. The church, however, seems to have lost its eternal perspective. The church can still point out moral failure, but it cannot find the courage to live in a Christlike manner before the world. It takes Spirit-filled courage to live as a believer today. How well I remember when the church was awash by the counseling movement. Pastors were told that they were not qualified to speak to the problems of living. So there arose within the church a class of people who had secular training that qualified them to address the problems of living encountered by the people of God!
