The Words On Flicks Show is a celebration and analysis of everything on the big and small screen from a strictly fan perspective with host Janine Coveney. This month we're discussing black cinema authenticity as it relates to historical accuracy, colorism, and directorial vision in the films The Harder They Fall and Passing. Our special guest will be Demetrius Patterson (aka D.E. Malik Patterson), an award-winning investigative/business journalist for various daily newspapers throughout the country, senior staff writer for the Chicago Defender, jazz music columnist, reviewer of high-end audiophile equipment, and entertainment media consultant. Chicago's own D.E. has more than 25 years of journalism and media consulting experience, and has also written for numerous music publications, primarily about jazz. And he's also a big film fan!
