Santa Fe Footprints: Bob Ackenhausen

The Feisty Side of Fifty is just the right time to take full advantage of travel and the life-changing experience of learning about new places, foods and people. Recently, I had just this type of travel experience on a trip to Santa Fe. Better yet, I was lucky enough to have Bob Ackenhausen as my guide to this remarkable city.

Here’s a little about this tour guide extraordinaire: After officially retiring, Bob decided to take on an encore career that merged his passion for history and sharing fascinating, often little-known facts with his well-developed people skills. In other words, Bob became a tour leader. He started in New York, where he won an award for conducting the best tour of Central Park. Later, Bob moved to Santa Fe where he now shares his historical expertise and his excitement for this amazing place with the people lucky enough to join his tour.
