Dr. Paul Muchowsli is Associate Investigator at Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease and Associate Professor of Neurology at UCSF in California.
The major research goal of his lab is to understand the molecular mechanisims that underlie neurodegenerative disorders associated with protein musfolding and aggregation, focusing on Alzheimer's disease (AD), Huntington's disease (HD) and Parkinson's disease (PD). The long-term goal is to use information gained from mechanism-based approaches to identify novel therapeutic targets for small molecules that could prevent neurodegeneration in humans.
This is going to be a very interesting and challenging episode.
