EPISODE 174 "WHY WE DON'T DO US"

Probably the worst part of being a black person is precieved and actual fact based feelings about us in the work place. No other minority group in this country has a more negative forcasted future, and a worse reputation of sticking together. Pretty depressing, but that didn't just happen over night. At one point we had a common cause that made us stick together, stay with our families and work hard. Now we are pegged as lazy workers, with poor customer service that don't support our own people. WTF happened to this picture! I can admit I am a pepetraitor of such thoughts about us. I actually avoid a food service establishment, especially a fast food/quick dinner spot that had all black people working there. And sadly its because I've become used to poor service from an all black establishment. I know this is wrong and isn't ALWAYS the case, but like me and a lot of others we didn't formulate this belief on a whim. It took time and time again getting bad service and attitudes from black workers to make me take this stance. I do try to patronize black business whenever I can IF I KNOW THEY ARE A GOOD ESTABLISHMENT! Problem is I run into more that are NOT then are. I know now at this age the key to wealth is OWNING what you do, being good at it, and keeping a solid rep. With that in mind, remember we are at the bottom of the barrel per capita for wealth in this country. Here are the questions: 1) Do you think black people have a bad rep in the workplace world, if so why? 2) Do you make a point to support a black owned business that provides a service you often use? 3) Do you think its fairly racist to support only businesses that are black owned even if another owners company is better? 4) Do you think we still need affirmative action in this country? 5) Why do you think we don't stick together from a business standpoint as a people?
