About Our Guest: Peter Charette
Pete is a former drug dealer, drug user and alcohol abuser. As he relates it, “I was a mean-spirited, angry young man. I heard the Gospel while in college, but rejected both it and God. I worked a series of low-end jobs, lived in some pretty terrible places, and for a while, was homeless sleeping in the stairwell of an apartment building. I recognized that my situation was the result of decisions I had made, but I didn't know how to change.”
In 1993, Pete had a miraculous encounter with Jesus and began attending a Baptist church. Blessed with a pastor who discipled him one-on-one, his spiritual growth advanced rapidly. He moved to Michigan to attend Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, where he received his master's degree in New Testament.
