Suspecting that a friend, ministry partner, or attendee may have been wounded by sexual sin can lead to feelings of frustration, helplessness and awkwardness. Today's guest. Ellen Dykas, takes the terror out of this forbidden territory as she trains us how to think about, talk about and win out over sexual abuse.

During this 15 minute preview you'll begin to learn:

  1. How to think about sexual abuse from a biblical viewpoint: how the Bible addresses sexual sin if it’s done against a person or if personally pursued.
  2. Common indications a woman may have suffered sexual abuse.
  3. What to do if you suspect a woman has suffered abuse: how to engage her on it; what to do first.
  4. Two ways to understand the impact sexual abuse has on a woman.
  5. When you should refer a woman to an experienced pastor, counselor or therapist and how to help her find a qualified person.

Guest Trainer, Ellen Dykas, is the Coordinator for Women’s Ministry at Harvest USA, a national ministry focused on partnering with and equipping the church to minister the gospel of grace into the lives of those impacted by sexual sin and brokenness. More at http://www.harvestusa.org.
