Energy is building as we approach the dynamic Aries New Moon on April 11, and fast moving developments can occur now. Mars in Gemini has been squaring Neptune in Pisces, exact on April 9, creating lethargy and confusion, but Mars will once again gain traction during the New Moon’s significant energy shift. Mercury and Venus in Aries make sextiles to Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, adding focus to what you are ready to begin now. Even though you may have felt loss, disappointment, or confusion during the ongoing Pisces energies of the previous weeks, please remember: Your dreams travel with you. Your energetic creations travel with you. Aries season reminds us to fortify ourselves with what is true and in alignment with ourselves now. More to share in this week’s podcast episode.

But probably not the "f" word you're thinking of. And, when it comes to wording unsolved problems well, even "f" words are relevant.

In today's show, Dr. Lisle and Dr. Howk discuss some economics, politics, and this question from a listener:
(Paraphrased due to original q length) Dear Dr's, I was recently laid off from my job and even though I'm collecting unemployment, I still want to get another job. I've applied for and received opportunities for jobs. One offer is to work for the police as an analyst but do I really want to work for an establishment that hauls people to jail for not wearing a mask? Another is a high tech job implementing 5G technology - I have strong opinions against 5G and think it needs more testing. I know 5G is coming whether I work on it or not, but I feel guilty putting my efforts toward it. I have the same sort of personal objections on the other offer. What the hell is wrong with me? I need the money and I need companionship. It is hard to get a job in this economy and I have worked so hard to get these. Why am I so confused about which job to take? Maybe I should just forget it and sit around on unemployment.

HR Happy Hour 477 - Improving Employee Experience with HR Technology
Hosts: Steve Boese, Trish McFarlane
Guest: Tiffany Gamblin, HR Manager, Paycom
This week on the HR Happy Hour Show, we were joined by Paycom's Tiffany Gamblin to talk about employee frustrations with HR technology, and how a smart application of modern, cloud-based HR technology tools can make an impactful difference in improving productivity and employee experience. Recent research shows that almost 80% of employees are frustrated with their workplace technologies, and this frustration can increase stress, impede employees in their efforts to get their jobs done, and ultimately, can impact employer reputation and employee retention. Additionally, Tiffany discussed the importance of HR being present and responsive to employee needs, and how technology helps HR stay connected to what is now for many companies a distributed and remote workforce. Finally, we talked about the problems that arise when too many disparate HR tech systems are deployed in an organization, and the challenges that presents to employee experience and productivity, and Tiffany shared some advice for making the case for updated and better HR tech for your organization.
We also talked about our favorite food and beverage items we have stocked up on this past year.
This was a fun show, thanks for listening and subscribe to the HR Happy Hour Show wherever you get your podcasts. Learn more about Paycom at www.paycom.com.
Six people are dead in the South after at least 23 tornadoes tore through Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia last week. The damage in places like Coweta County is Georgia, well, it looks like a bomb went off there. Five people lost their lives in Calhoun County, Alabama, after the state was hit with 17 reported tornadoes. Sounds like an apocalypse movie? Nope, stuff like this happens this time a year every year, in the United States, the world’s capital for tornadoes.
Now why would an old country doctor be talking about general disaster preparedness? Where the blood and gore or the catastrophic pandemics we usually talk about. Well, with tornadoes there’s plenty of blood and gore, and you’d better get ready to deal with it, if you’re going to be the family medic, whether it’s in good times or bad. But even more importantly, the family medic can take steps to decrease the chances that a loved one with be injured or get sick, and that save precious supplies, which save a lot of headaches, and maybe a heartache or two as well.
Dr. Joe Alton and Nurse Amy Alton tell you what you need to know about keeping your family safe in Tornado season...
Wishing you the best of health in good times or bad,
Joe and Amy

Monster X host Shane Corson was part of a group of Bigfoot researchers that were harrassed by what very well could have been a Bigfoot while on a research trip in Washington State. Shane is joined by 3 other members of that excursion who share what they each experienced. Todd Hale, Chris Spencer and Rebecca Slick are field researchers who regularly spend time out in the woods collecting evidence for the existence of Bigfoot.
