Jenniffer Carroll is a Trinidadian-born American politician and retired naval officer who served as the 18th Lieutenant Governor of Florida. She is the first black person and woman elected to the office and the first black person elected to statewide office in Florida since Reconstruction. Previously she was a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives.
