Short Bio from Marty – I was born in Bosnia-Hercegovina into a Croatian Catholic family and shortly after birth, my family and me immigrated to the states where I spent my childhood.  Much of my childhood was spent in the Foster Care system where I experienced on a deep level, the archetypal pattern of the orphan child.  I couldn’t articulate it at the time but I was able to naturally connect to a symbolic world where I expressed a talent for art, along with innate psychic abilities.  With these psychic abilities, I could sense others’ soulful energies which led me to develop a curious fascination with the world, coupled with questioning our life origins.  Art came so natural to me but my fascination with the human journey prompted me to venture away from the nuclear family and further into the world by enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps.  Afterwards I pursued an extensive career in law enforcement where I studied the human shadow through various experiences while in the performance of duties as a police officer.  My desire to further walk the path of a modern day mystic in service to others became greater than my duties as a civil servant so it led me to walk away from that phase of my life and into a calling to become a spiritual director.
