This show is remembering and dedicated to the 1971 Pirates. Whom on Sept. 1st 1971, had an all Black  line up. And a salute to the twice World Series winning manager,Danny Murtaugh. A winner in two different decades at that. Philadelphia sportswriter,BillConlin  referred to it as the,All-Soul Lineup. They defeated his Philly team,10-7. Philadelphia was the last team to get a Black player in the National League. And the city and team that spewed the most racism and hatred toward Jackie Robinson.
Murtaugh's post game remarks,''My players know I'm color blind''.''I put nine Pirates out there''. He is the first NL manager to Manage a night WS game. The first six hitters in the line up were all hitting over 300.Rennie 7-7 Stenett was in that line-up.
Thanks for joining us once again.
