"Failing Up" author Dr. Barbara Hong

Dr. Barbara Hong obtained her Ph.D. from Columbia University in addition to three masters. She is a three-time recipient of the prestigious Senior Fulbright Scholar and has been appointed by the U.S. State Department Bureau of International and Information Programs as a Speaker Specialist and Expert on Disability, consulting with ministries of education around the world.
She has been a professor for more than 16 yrs and has taught in NY, TX, PA, VA, and HI. Her research has been cited in major handbooks, library of higher education, university recommended readings, and various institutes of education library. She is a recipient of the Teacher-of-Honor award, University Exemplary Faculty award, Advisor for the Oxford Educational Research, Board of Directors for the Council for Exceptional Children, a certified special educator, principal, and administrator.
She recently worked as the Education Specialist for the VA Fairfax County Govt, Dept of Family Services, and Institute of Early Learning.  Currently, Dr. Hong is a Professor and Program Coordinator of Special Education at Brigham Young University Hawaii. Visit her website: https://barbarahong.com
