As good as it gets"; for many humans the fear of assuming this is as "good as it gets" ends up to become a compromise of much less than their potential. Whether a relationship, job or our social life, the fear of losing what we have in order to pursue what we may get is perceived as too risky. Life requires risk and also balance. We also have to guard against chasing the unattainable or setting our expectations so high we are forever disappointed.
