Natalie Talks Live With Development Consultant Becky Thompson

Rebecca Thompson (AKA Becky), in addition to being a writer, is an organization development consultant, facilitator and coach.

She has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.A. in Organizational Management & Development from Fielding Graduate University.

Becky married her college sweetheart to whom she thought she would be married to for life. He was to a highly regarded engineer at Eastman Kodak in Rochester New York. They had 3 happy growing kids, a great house and a couple dogs. But all was actually far from perfect, he had an over- fondness for beer.

In the aftermath of its dissolution, leaving Becky to clean up the financial mess, he uprooted the family to take a job in North Carolina. Becky, always the rock holding her family together and always the perfect wife and mother, carried on-until his first DUI.

Fast forward 30 yrs with grown children, a successful career and a failing marriage; as her husband sank deeper into alcoholism. Unhappy, but she didn’t think she had the confidence or wherewithal to make it on her own.

Becky went on a spiritual, mental, emotional and physical journey to find her power. The stops along the way included life coaching, Al Anon, psychic readings, dowsing, Reiki, Tarot, shamanism, spirit animals, conversations with goddesses, and large doses of friendship.

That's where Rebecca Rising begins....this powerful, novelistic and highly-readable memoir isn't so much the story of a marriage that comes apart, but the chronicle of a woman who slowly awakens to herself through the crucible of her marriage.
