Also about the high price of repression when one woman lost nearly everything and discovered she must be willing to reveal the failures of the past in order to save future generations. With chilling echoes of our time, this novel is based on a true story of the author’s own family.

> Having been born in England to refugee parents from Germany; then at age 5 moved to the U.S.A.. She now lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two very spoiled dogs.

> She is a high school chemistry teacher, as well as, head of the Science and Technology Department at Holliston High School in Massachusetts.

> During her summer breaks, Sylvia likes to travel to the Amazon to do research in the Rainforest.

> Growing up with a Swiss champion figure skater mother and a theoretical nuclear physicist father afforded her varied and unique perspectives.

> Her 2 beautiful daughters are grown and off pursuing their passions.
