Our guest on S:6 E:252 is Delphi Ellis a qualified therapeutic counselor, author and well-being trainer. She started her therapeutic career, supporting those bereaved by murder and suicide, including attending inquests at coroner’s court. She now mainly works in the community promoting well-being maintenance and recovery through workshops and events.
Delphi’s qualifications are in Therapeutic Counseling and Delivering Adult Learning. She is also a Mental Health First Aider and authentically trained in Mindfulness. She continues to engage with continuing professional development throughout the year, so that the learning she provides remains up to date.
In 2004, Delphi established a unique website and peer support group dedicated to Pregnancy Mental Health, following her own experience of ante-natal depression and anxiety.
Her aim is to help people find their ‘mojo’ (feel-good energy, authenticity or motivation) and get their sparkle back, often during or after a difficult time in their lives. She has a special interest in dreams and sleep.
Delphi started her therapeutic career working in bereavement 20 years ago. She has designed and delivered nationwide training programmes, including promoting the benefits of peer support following the death of a loved one, and tailored grief awareness training to front line personnel including police officers, paramedics, and search and rescue teams.
Her mission is to help improve and enhance the well-being of others through compassionate education and wholehearted, meaningful dialogue. She believes strongly in human potential, helping people manage uncertainty and understand the true nature of resilience, which includes building connection through community.
