Cynnamon Clinton Morant is a native of Orangeburg, SC. She has served as a police officer for over fifteen years and more recenty as a school resource officer for the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Deprtment. She is the founder of Joshua's Warriors, a mentoring and leadership group for teens Cynnamon has sponsored several community events that have empowered single parents and families all while promoting cmmunity pride. Most recently, Cynnamon pulished her first book entitled "Generational Overcomers: No More Silence" and it is currently available around the world via Amazon and via other bookstores. "Generational Overcomers: No More Silence" is an account of Cynnamon's journey in overcoming unhealthy life cycles, bad decisions, family brokeness, emotional battles, low self-esteem, molestation, fears and other generational family issues. The book ends with a section dedicated to encouraging and providing direction onto how to overcome life's unhealthly cycles. Cynnamon is currently working on her second faith-based book that will touch on the topic of the effects of absentee fathers on families. She is most productive in the areas of reaching youth, teaching character, promoting individual and family wholeness and empowerment amongest women. Cynnamon has received several awards and recognitions for her community involvement. They include the Rotary Club Of Orangeburg "Service Above Self" Award, the South Carolina Assocations Of School Resource Officer's "Low Country Resource Officer Of The Year 2013" award and many other honors and recognitions. There have been several newspaper articles written locally in The Times and Democrat about her many efforts in building better communities.
