Acts 2:1-8; 37-39
5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together and were confounded, because every man heard them speaking in his own language. 7 And they were amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 And how hear we every one, in our own native language
37 And hearing this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do? 38 And Peter said, Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of Jesus, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are afar off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call.
