The guest on Show Talk with Angela Butler is Dave Atwood. Who is a civil rights activst. Atwood believes in the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King who was assassinated on April 4, 1968. On April 4, 2011, Houston Mayor Annise Parker issued a proclamation declaring that day as "Houston, the Beloved Community Day". Which will be celebrated on April 4, of each year. Atwood is an advocate of the death penalty being out lawed also. The Beloved Community project partners with other organizations of like minded goals. Atwood is the past president of the Houston Peace and Justice Center and serves on the Board of that organization.
