On February 7, 2018 will be a special day becuase not only is it the official lauch of "BLACK WALL STREET USA but also the day in which President Obama declared the state of "Mississippi a Free State on February 7, 2013. The positivity,success, and entreprenurship of the people in 1921 who lived than, is one we can all learn from in 2018. The city of Greenwood, Oklahoma which was a segregated suburb in Tulas Oklahoma consisted of 9,000 Black Americans who owned businesses such as: Banks, hotels,cafes,clothiers, movie theaters, and comtemporay homes. Their were whites who did not have these luxuries or inddor plumbing. But they also had a remarkable school system. But becuase of pure envy they were massacred by a white mob. On May 31 and June of 1921 a white woman accused a black man of attempted sexual assualt and a white people bombed them. They also killed 300 black Americans, they looted and burned to the ground 1,265 Balck American Homes, including hospitals, schools, and churches. They also destroyed 150 businesses.Also white deputies, the Natonal Guard,arrsted and retained 6,000 black people.But we can in current day America take advantage of the new tax laws and jobs that are now available. And in the spirit of BLACK WALL STREET ", become enteprenurs. This is apart of history anf those who know their history will not repeat it. Also the black youth should not be continually blamed becuase knowing this history, we can all understand what Black American Youth are up against. Besides businesses can employ other people.
