Astrological Musings – The USA, Astrology and Current Events (Saturday April 7, 2018)

In my fourth show of 2018 we will look more closely into the main Astrological indicators for current conditions in the chart for the USA. In my 2018 Forecast, I noted that the USA was going through a cycle that has resonances with three previous periods like this in the 20th Century: 1988-91, 1959-62 and 1929-32. In each of these moments, the planet Saturn was first in opposition to the USA Venus and Jupiter, and then in the following year, Saturn continued through Capricorn to align with both the USA Sun and Saturn. For each of these prior periods, this passage of Saturn was marked by economic challenges and reversals in political power. Why is this so, and what might this mean for our time?

First, I will look at the meanings of Venus and Jupiter in the chart of the USA and then consider what this present-day passage of Saturn means for the USA and our current economic and political experience in light of these historical precedents.
