Keri Donald Singleton (born March 24, 1972) is an American novelist and internet radio show host. His debut novel, The Wanderer's Game, chronicled the story of an aspiring young actor who falls into the world of male prostitution. The critically acclaimed book was published in 2013 and was adapted into a Broadway theater production in 2015 by playwright Pearline Alexander. Singleton is also the producer and host of the Keri's Korner Radio Show, a syndicated program based in New York City.[1] Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 24, 1972, Singleton was the only child born to Denise Helen Singleton and Robert Smith. Singleton's passion for writing came at a young age when, at age nine, a poem that he authored was entered into a writing contest appeared in The Boston Herald newspaper. In 1996 following the murder of his father in Boston, Singleton relocated to New York City and worked as a promoter for Palm Tree Records. Later, he worked briefly for Power 105 Radio before finally securing a position as the promotions director for Brooklyn-based 37 Deep Clothing in 2003. Singleton was convicted of Identity Theft and Grand Larceny in 2005 and served nearly three years in prison. While incarcerated at New York's Attica Correctional Facility, he penned both The Wanderer's Game and what would be his sophomore release, Idol. After his release from prison in 2007, Singleton founded P.E.A.C.E. Night @ Chez Vous, an annual event held at Boston's Chez Vous Skating Rink which featured live performance by recording artists and mentoring opportunities for young residents of the crime-ridden Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan sections of the city. He dedicated the event in memory of his father. Following several guest appearances on a local radio program in New York City in 2013, Singleton was offered his own show and in April of that year, the Keri's Korner Radio Show debuted on the F.L.O Empire Radio Network.
