SDG 12! Before Victory comes Surrender! - Joshua 14:6-12

BEFORE victory over sin comes surrender to Jesus.

Did you know Caleb could be called The Bible's first spiritual mountaineer?

We can learn some wonderful lessons from the life of Caleb. So many Christians live defeated lives because they have unsurrendered wills. God did not intend for us to live in the valley of depression but on the mountaintop of victory.  

However before victory comes SURRENDER!!!

Are you ready for victorious living???  Then let's stop being defeated by sin, let's start living lives of VICTORY over sin!!!

But first, we must surrender to Jesus!  Remember, that's the first step in abiding in Jesus as a branch abides in a vine.  Surrender is to be followed by dependence, rest, obedience and rejoicing in VICTORY!!!

Let's use the story of Caleb and his taking of the mountain as our example. 

Let's look at Caleb's Character, Confidence, Courage and Conquest.

Let's see how Caleb overcame grasshoppers, giants and gray hair.

And let's see how we can drive out the giants of ego, pride and self reliance as we first surrender to Jesus and then claim victory over the sin in our lives!!!
