SDG 40 Three Marks of an Apostate

You know there’s a big difference between an “apostle” and an “apostate.”

An apostle or an ambassador of the Gospel is understood to mean a respected Christian teacher,

One who has long ago decided to follow Jesus. 

They have the cross before them and the world behind them; whereas apostates “dream up” their own religion.

Do you know someone who has a “do-it-yourself” religion?

In today’s post modern, relativistic world of pluralism the word “tolerance” has morphed into demanding that we embrace everyone’s idea of faith as equal.

Quite bluntly that’s a lie from the pits of Hell and today’s message will help us learn how to spot apostasy.

The truth is that REBELLION is in the heart of EVERY apostate, they don't want anyone to tell them what to believe or how to behave! 

Outwardly they may even appear pious but inwardly they have the same spirit of Lucifer which is REBELLION!

Jude calls these people with their homemade religions, false theologies, and vain philosophies “filthy dreamers.”  Jude said it not me!!!

Now Jude describes three ways an apostate may be known.  I call them the 3 marks of an apostate and hence the title of this message
