1 Corinthians 15:12–19
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to The Faith once delivered unto the saints. Now here's a few unthinkable questions: What if there had been no resurrection? What if Jesus Christ stayed in that tomb? What if death had won and Jesus stayed in the grave? Well, the apostle Paul deals with that question in 1 Corinthians 15 beginning in verse 12. But then these unthinkable questions come along: Suppose Jesus Christ is still in that grave. Suppose Jesus did not rise from the dead. This message covers six tragic realities we’d face if it were true that Jesus Christ was still in that grave.
There’d be 1. Profitless Preaching. 2. A Foolish FAITH. 3. Deceptive Disciples. 4. The Sovereignty of Sin. 5. The Dominion of Death. and
6. Fearful Future. A wise man once said, “If Jesus Christ is still in that grave, nothing really matters; but if Jesus Christ came out of that grave, nothing but that really matters.” Now The Truth is He is RISEN!
He IS Risen indeed!!!
So preaching is profitable, faith is feasible, the disciples are dependable, sin has been subdued, death has been defeated, and the future is fabulous!!!
The truth of the ages is that Jesus Christ came out of the grave and only foolishness doubts the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So tune in to celebrate the Resurrection!
