Matthew 13:1-3 KJV [1] The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. [2] And great multitudes were gathered together unto Him, so that He went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. [3] And He spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; Now we've all heard of The Sermon on the Mount, well this could be called The Sermon by the Sea. This week provided The LORD's willing we will begin a seven part series into the 7 parables of Jesus contained in Matthew 13
First we will look at why Jesus spoke in parables and discover that there was a method, mystery and motive to His preaching in parables.
And then we will dive into the first of the seven: The Sower.
Now a parable has a mystery in it, and a mystery is a hidden truth that is never grasped with human wisdom. So the truth is that you will never know these things that you need to know until you lay your intellectual pride in the dust and say, “Oh God, teach me.” So be sure to tune in to learn that to be an effective sower there must be the right word, the right witness and the right welcome to the gospel of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.
