Matthew 13:33
WARNING!!!
In this message we are looking into Mathew 13:33 that contains a very short parable, the 4th of 7 often misunderstood even by pastors.
See Matthew 13:33 "Another parable spake He unto them. The kingdom of Heaven is like unto leaven (yeast) which a woman took and hide in three measures of meal (flour) until the whole was leavened." The typical interpretation of this parable is that the leaven is the gospel; the woman is the church; and the three measures of meal are the world. And that understanding implies that we're to take the gospel and put it out into the world until all of the world knows about the LORD Jesus Christ, and until the entire loaf (world) has been leavened or permeated with the leaven (gospel). So this incorrect interpretation implies that it is our job, our duty, and our joy to touch the whole world with the gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ and one of these days this task will be accomplished. THIS IS WRONG!!!! Be sure to tune in to see why and learn what Jesus and the Bible are truly teaching about Leaven and our duty are believers.
