A Chat in the Garden with Monique A.J. Smith

Dr. Christina M. Gipson is an associate​ professor of sport management at Georgia Southern University, where she is entering her sixth year.
Since her tenure at Georgia Southern, she has worked in the community to share fitness with at-risk populations. Through grants, she has been able to offer programs to students at an alternative school, with high school students who were pre-identified as school dropouts, and an afterschool program that serves at-risk middle school kids. Christina is passionate about helping others, and therefore uses her research to learn about others' experiences and giving under-represented populations a voice.
