Kenesha Simmons works in Event Operations & Sponsorship Fulfillment for Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Kenesha was a talented multi-sport athlete. She signed a two-year basketball scholarship to play at Lawson State Community College. Plagued with injuries during high school, she tore her ACL for the fourth time before the basketball season started at Lawson State. Thankfully, she was able to stay on scholarship and obtain her associates degree in biology. She went on to attend University of Alabama and graduated with a degree in kinesiology (minor in business administration and concentration in sports management).

While working at a Nike store in college, Kenesha met Rod Baker, former Philadelphia 76ers employee. He later introduced her to Kevin Foley, founder of Position Sports, an Arizona-based sports marketing firm. Kevin recognized her passion and connected her to Greg Procino, current Vice President of Basketball Operations at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, located in Springfield, Massachusetts.

After an amazing Zoom call with Greg, Kenesha was invited to Springfield to interview for a position in Event Operations and Sponsorship Fulfillment. She was offered the job a week later.
