La Quita D. Frederick, Ed.D. is faculty director and associate professor of the Sport Industry Management (SIM), Master of Professional Studies (MPS) program at Georgetown University. 

Prior to her current role, she served as director of sport management and assistant professor in Saint Peter’s University School of Business and as adjunct faculty at St. John’s University College of Professional Studies.

Dr. Frederick has held roles at The Ohio State University Department of Athletics, NBA Orlando Magic, MLB Atlanta Braves, and NC State University Department of Athletics, among others. Her career highlights include: first ever WNBA Pre-Draft Camp, various NBA Draft and Playoff events, several NCAA playoff tournaments. She also earned recognition by the NCAA and NACMA for leading one of the best marketing efforts for DI women's basketball.

Dr. Frederick earned her doctorate degree in sport leadership and management from the United States Sports Academy, a M.A. in sport management from The Ohio State University, and dual B.A. in communication and English from NC State. She is an alumna of the NCAA Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute, the NCAA/Women Leaders in Sports Institute for Administrative Advancement, and the NCAA/Women Leaders in Sports Leadership Enhancement Institute.
