Full of Grace
The Gr. word for grace (charis) means good-will, loving kindness, or favor
The Word didn't become flesh to become judge and executioner, if He had we would all be found guilty of breaking the law and would have been sentenced to eternal punishment (death). See John 3:16, 17
Instead, the Word became flesh (and dwelled among us) to reveal the divine glory of God.
The Word became flesh to show us grace that would come. The cross is where the fullness of grace shone most. The Word became flesh in order to die. See Hebrew 2:14-15
And Truth
The Gr word for truth means (objectively) verity, or true under any matter of consideration
When Christ died, God was true to Himself, because sin was punished. When Christ died, God showed grace to us, becaus He bore the punishment for us. See 2 Co 5:21
So I lift up before you the incarnate Word(Son) of God: The Word became flesh and dwelt among us without ceasing to be God.
