In this concluding episode to their series looking at well-loved hymns and the Scriptures underneath them, pastors Erica, Sarah, and Steve take a look at a relatively recent hymn from writer John Bell, entitled, "Will You Come And Follow Me" or sometimes know as "The Summons." They'll look at how the actual life of Jesus becomes a pattern and a model for our lives of faith: offering healing and help to neighbors, reaching across lines to include outcasts, risking being excluded or ridiculed because of Jesus' love, and being led in new directions. We'll also explore how following Jesus is different from merely subscribing to a philosophy or being a member of a political party or other club, because it involves a mutual relationship with God, in whom we abide, and who dwells with us as well. Join us for this conversation that might help you to reconsider what it means to follow Jesus in your own life, too, on this week's Crazy Faith Talk!
