Sam Wazan is a leading expert on the root causes of thought and militant radicalism. He is the founder of The Wazan Foundation and author of The Last Moderate Muslim.  He is a speaker on Ending Religious Violence: The Journey to Peace, Overcoming Adversity, and from Diversity to Humanity.

Wazan survived fifteen-years living in a combat-zone during the Lebanese civil war. His family took shelter in the stairways and underground garage depot. While in hiding, he listened to radio broadcasts of religious cleansing committed by both Christians and Muslims. Often times, the executions were only a half a mile away. Outside and in churches and mosques congregations reverberated “Amen” after the prayers called for the annihilation of people of other faiths.
After twenty-years in the United States, Wazan resigned from a corporate position to write his personally inspired novel, The Last Moderate Muslim, and deliver his speech The Journey to Peace.
