This Too, Has Purpose

Jeremiah 29:11 reads, "11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV) The Holy Spirit led me to this scripture on Saturday evening to share with our Men's basketball team before their game and I did before I prayed with them.  The outcome of the game was not what we'd anticipated but the interactions and decisions that I witnessed by others challenged me. 

When you know that God has a plan for your life, and you're to embrace that with every step, a loss can sometimes distract you.  When you're on the sideline of another's life and witness the distraction, what's your role?  This week, we want to empower you with some truth:

• You have a purpose
• God has equipped you for that purpose
• Your purpose is significant
• God has a purpose
• God's purpose is good
• God's purpose is eternal
