Dr. Rebecca Dupas is an educator, author, photographer, 'artrepreneur’ and award-winning poet who was recently named a Baltimore Legend in the Baltimore Crown Awards. Her latest works, a collection of original poems entitled "Not Without Black Women" and a children's book, "Mario Goes to the Museum", are fictional and nonfictional explorations into the Black experience. From the senseless murder of unarmed Black men and women to the beauty of the Black family, Rebecca's writings are rooted in resiliency and Black Joy. Rebecca, with her passion for the arts and artist development, is the founder and former host of poetry events in the Baltimore and DC area. She now enjoys writing, performance, production, and commissioned composition. Rebecca's work has appeared on Centric, Fox 5, and most recently on C- Span, PBS News, WEAA, in The Washington Post alongside President Clinton, and in the DC Black Film Festival
