EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW- ARTIST ASHLEY SCOTT - 7:00 PM PST 11/30/16

On August 16th Ashley Scott will release his debut single “Words.” This ballad speaks on the impact and implications that “Words” can have in relationships especially in the heat of the moment. The motto of “thinking before you speak” is the point he is trying to make in the song. The ballad is dynamic and reminiscent of a classic sound sung by a variety of legendary male vocalists. Ashley went back to his roots with the recording process of this song. “The song was written and composed by Alysha Ashley and I. She is from Kentucky and while composing this song I wanted to enhance the song with more lush arrangement and vocals, which is what you don’t here in the music of today. That style was learned from my heritage of both the classic and contemporary artists from Philadelphia and the sophisticated side of soul music. With an ensemble of the best musicians and vocalists from the Philly area, we recorded the song in the Lab studios with engineer Craig White (formerly of Philadelphia International Records). We also had some additional production assistance from Will Downing which was an honor.” About Ashley Scott Ashley Scott is a talented vocalist from Philadelphia, PA. He began singing and discovering music at the tender age of 3 from listening and watching is aunt Helen Scott of The Three Degrees. The biggest part of Ashley’s life and musical path came when he attended Howard University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music.
