As the world creeps towards chaos, war, famine, plague, desperation and more are all in the forefront of everyone’s mind. This week in America, the vice presidents had their debates, and with many of Americans running out of finances because of the economic downturn due to coronavirus, millions tuned in to listen to their fates. Yet, as millions huddled around their devices, eager for information, many felt unassured of the days ahead.

Coronavirus has drastically reshaped how we see society as a whole. Recently the world health organization said that roughly 10% of the global population may have been infected with the novel virus; one has to ask the question of what kind of world we will be creating for this said 10%? It would seem that many of our social freedoms and civil rights have withered rather than weathering this storm.

With looming clouds of uncertainty on our horizon, the fate of the world hangs in the balance, and whether we think ourselves actors of history, the actions we take today lay the groundwork for the progress of tomorrow.
