Long-time Zonta member JEAN ANN FRENCH of Washington State will share stories from her international travels, from Nepal to Thailand and from Romania to Ecuador, Jean Ann has seen the best and the worst conditions that women face. She will share her observations about sexual trafficking of women and talk about some groups which are helping to educate, advocate and provide service to victims of trafficking. "Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women" is a campaign to create awareness about gender-based violence. Starting on November 25 and concluding on December 10, Human Rights Day, the campaign is a multi-prong approach at a complext issue. Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global organization working to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. More than 31,000 members from 66 countries volunteer to local and international service projects, and fund scholarship programs aimed at empowering women
