More on Horace: 

Horace is a very inspiring and dedicated golf professional and community leader. Born in Charleston, SC in 1962, grew up in beautiful San Diego, California. Began playing golf at age four, taught by his father Mr. Gordon Brown Sr, who played on the UGA Negro Golf Tour in the 1950’s & 60’s with PGA greats Lee Elder, Charlie Sifford and legendary prize fighter Joe Louis.

Played his first golf competition at age nine. Later went on to win 57+ junior golf tournaments. He was known as Tiger before Tiger in junior golf. Won his age division five times and is celebrated as San Diego's Junior Golfer of the Year in 1980 alongside Phil Mickelson, Charlie Hoffman, Scott Simpson, Pat Perez.
