This Monday Graphic Policy Radio is getting truly outrageous as comic creator Kelly Thompson joins us to discuss Jem & The Holograms! The series debuts Wednesday March 25 and features art from Sophie Campbell.
In addition to the upcoming Jem & The Holograms comic, Kelly is the writer of Storykiller and The Girl Who Would Be King, as well as the co-writer of Captain Marvel & the Carol Corps.
Jem will be on a lot of people's minds as there's not only the comic, but a live action movie hitting theaters October 2015. For those who don't remember the rocking 80s cartoon....
It’s the 21st century, and Jem and The Holograms are 21st century girls! Meet Jerrica Benton, the gifted singer of The Holograms, a band that has the right look and the right sound… But one thing is holding them back—Jerrica’s crippling stage fright. Luckily, Jerrica is about to find help in the most unlikely of places when she discovers a forgotten present left by her father. And what she finds is truly outrageous!
Joining us is frequent guest Emma Houxbois. Emma is a queer blogger for hire out of Vancouver, BC, and the DC Comics reviewer for The Rainbow Hub!
So join us Monday and find out what everyone will be talking about, when we discuss Jem & the Holograms with Kelly Thompson. We want to hear from you too! Call in with your thoughts or Tweet them to us @graphicpolicy.
