About our guests:
Little Anthony:
Little Anthony and the Imperials is a rhythm and blues/soul/doo-wop vocal group from New York, first active in the 1950s. Lead singer Jerome Anthony "Little Anthony" Gourdine was noted for his high-pitched falsetto voice, influenced by Jimmy Scott. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 4, 2009, 23 years after the group's first year of eligibility for induction, waiting longer than any other artist for the honor.
###
Kendrick Evans:
Evans, a 24-year-old singer from Quincy, Fla, was given 3 years to live after being diagnosed with a rare form of
sleep apnea. Evans immediately set out to share a musical message of love and hope with the world. With the
help of filmmaker Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer, Kendrick Evans met one of his life-long heroes, six-time Grammywinning
gospel artist BeBe Winans. As a result of the meeting, Evans and Winans recorded and filmed an
emotionally charged duet of the Maggie Ingram classic ‘I Talked It Over.’ Evans story premiered as part of a
three night a television special “My Last Days” Season 2, set to air on the CW August 17 - 19, 2016 9/8 PM CT.
