Matthew is an award-winning educator, author, motivational speaker, diversity and inclusion consultant, and Founder, Principle Partner, and CEO of Diamond Strategies, L.L.C. Matthew also founded the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy, winner of the 2014 Arizona Diversity Leadership Alliance Inclusive Workplace Award, at Arizona State University (ASU), where he also worked as professor of history and Justice Studies for 15 years. He specializes in U.S. history, African American history and life, race relations, social movements, cultural competency, equity and inclusion.
