The Heart of Sacrificial Giving

When growing up, a common slogan often said is “live for today and hope for tomorrow.” Today, another more common phrase recognizes two differing categories of people, the “haves and have nots.” If we live for material wealth and allow the world to define our worth, we’re in trouble and living life out on a limb. Material wealth passes away, but spiritual wealth is being in a rich relationship with Christ Jesus as Savior, Master and Lord, for all eternity.

Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (NIV) We have the promise of an abundant life and God promises to provide our every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
