NVO was delayed due to technical difficulties. Usual date/time: New Vision Organization Airs onMondays at 3pm EST, call-in number (347) 857-3293. NVO is a non-profit organization consisting of volunteers who advocate for incarcerated men, women and youth. We assist prisoners with supportive legal, educational, and re-entry services. Our mission includes ensuring that prisoners are treated fairly and receive medical and rehabilitative services necessary to heal and eventually become productive citizens upon re-entering their communities. Regarding individuals serving life sentences, we advocate for probono legal assistance and assist with researching the status of their court cases. Learn more at the websites:

NVO's founder is Leonna Brandao. As a social worker, she spent many years working with families, children and adolescents before she found herself in the same position as families who experience the overwhelming loss of having a loved one imprisoned with little to no hope for release. NVO volunteers include lawyers, paralegals, social workers, letter writers, and others who promote prisoners' human rights and release for the innocent.
